Melo Melo (the review)

I am doing this review upon a request by a friend, before his request I really never had listened critically to the song, so immediately  he made the request I went to download the song and started listening to the song, and after the first play I decided my friend must be
playing a prank on me or was just being plain wicked hehe. Too many proverbs entwined in the song and a lot of coded talk I thought . But after my next 5 plays, I started to get hooked and truly understand the message Olamide was passing. I am really glad he requested this song and I'm sure you will enjoy the review.

THE REVIEW
May I start by saying Olamide is one of the most consistent Nigerian Artists who usually has a message to pass along sides  a good beat, and he does this consistently   & in the Nigerian  music industry today such combination  is hard to come by.

Melo melo is a song of appreciation of a lover, a friend who you have gone through a lot with and you have come to realize how much she has done for you and how much you love her. The way she encouraged you through the hard and turbulent times, times when you did not even have faith in yourself and your dreams but she still believed in you and  made sure you believed in them too.
Its a song telling the world that the things your
lover has done for you are uncountable , and you can't recall them all. They are just too much.

The song also appreciates the fact that mistakes can be made along the way but the most important thing is for us not to forget the good times and cherish what we have  before we allow a few bad moments ruin the rock solid relationship we have built together .
The song goes on to hype the lover with conq yoruba eulogies  , like "a pon be po re" and " akonke igi leyin ogba mi" , I had to consult the elders on this lol.
I hope to one day compose a song like this about my girl someday , telling the whole world of how she stood with me during the rough times and why I would love her forever.
The important thing to note and the key lesson from this song is that the going would never be smooth but the important thing is that we stick to our loved ones and storm the weather together! So one day we would recollect how we conquered the world by believing!

Best part of the song:
I love the part towards the end , when the song goes "Isu parada odi iyan, agbado parada odi eko ,Baddo parada odi olowo, my baby parade odi boss. Also I love  the part in verse one when the song goes
" Apon bepo re mi, akonke igi leyin ogba mi"  I learnt the meaning in english is My fair lady and my pillar of support "  these words can make a girl blush for centuries  guys should learn how to address their ladies from the heart. Yes!!!!

Vexsche world rating : 4/5 

The song has deep meaning and a good beat, why not???
